SIP have just released a height reduction kit for the Vespa GTS which will lower the scooter by 2cm making it much more accessible for shorter riders.
Although height reduction kits have been available for a while for the Vespa Primavera/Sprint, the taller GTS has been a harder nut to crack. Thankfully for you shorter riders, SIP have persisted and have just released this version.
Fitting
The rear lowering part is mounted on the two rear shock absorbers. The rear shock absorber is loosened. On the right side, two new plates are mounted instead of the original shock absorber mount. On the left side, the suspension strut is lowered by means of an adapter. This lowers the vehicle by about 2 cm while the suspension strut retains its full working travel.
Things to note
The lowering kit can only be fitted with the original rear suspension and exhaust – aftermarket items cannot be used.
