Pinasco have just ripped up the electric scooter rule book and revealed this teaser video of their Eureka electric Vespa conversion. This isn’t just another electric conversion though as you can see in the video. This is a geared electric Vespa which retains the engine and character of the original.
More details will be released next week at EICMA in Milan but this kit has a patent pending and is currently going through Italian homologation. The exciting thing for a traditional scooter rider is that this conversion retains the original engine, can be ‘revved’ and also retains the all-important clutch and gear shift which will give it a more natural feel than a simple twist and go. The power comes from a 3000w brushless motor.
