One tool that all classic scooter riders should own is a set of decent cable cutters. How many of you make do with a rusty pair of pliers though?

Cutting control cables to length with old, blunt or the wrong tools is a surefire way of messing your new cables up before you’ve even used them. These new twin jaw cutters are made by Laser Tools so the quality is good and they’re quite versatile.

Twin jaws

The jaws have two distinct purposes, one for coaxial/electrical cables and the other for steel and aluminium-clad cables. They can cope with anything up to 10mm in diameter, including starter motor and battery main cables.

  • Cushioned grip
  • Spring-loaded which enables one-handed operation
  • Curved main jaws prevents flattening or damaging the cable
  • Lower blade has a plastic safety shroud and is used for cutting stronger/steel/aluminium-clad cables

Price and availability

The cutters cost £28.30 and can be bought online here or visit your local Laser Tools stockist.
