This is something Vespa T5 owners never expected to see – a brand new replacement speedo for their classic scooters.
One of the original T5’s weak points was its speedo, or at least the electrical components that powered it, which meant the rev counter would burn out. Original spares are getting hard to come by. Thankfully SIP Scootershop have come to the rescue with these high-quality replacements.
Original looks
Still keeping very close to the original look and style of the Mark 2 T5 speedo, with an analogue tacho, fuel gauge and speedo it won’t stand out or look overly modern. It still has enough extra features for the modern T5 rider though with two discreet digital screens to provide extra info on trips/max speed etc. You can use AF or EGT temp sensors to display temperature on the screens and swap between them, or show water temp on LC engines. There’s also a gear position indicator which is calculated by RPM and speed travelled to determine the gear ratio. As an additional modern touch, when you start the engine the speedo will do a sweep of the dials as it performs a self-check. You can see the rest of the functions below.

The speedo is a straight swap for your original item and can be used with a standard speedo cable, or the optional SIP speed sensor for a more reliable solution.
