In 2015, I had one of the original Knox armoured undershirts. It’s a great piece of kit and is still going strong. I love it. Things have moved on, though.

Always protected
There are a couple of good reasons why an armoured shirt is worth having. Firstly, if you have a few jackets, you can just wear the Urbane Pro underneath each of them and not have to keep the armour in your riding jackets. Quite often, jackets come without a back protector as standard. Wear this, and you’ve always got level 2 armour in the important places.
With or without a jacket
If you’re riding in hot climates (even Great Britain counted for that last summer), you can wear the armoured shirt without a traditional bike jacket and still have a decent level of protection. They’re designed to be used with or without an actual jacket. If you get caught in a downpour, stick a waterproof top on, and you’re dry and protected. If it’s a warm spring day, put a hoodie on.
Power Mesh
The lining is a strong yet lightweight “Power Mesh” that delivers next-level airflow and comfort, creating a shirt that moves and breathes with you.

Knox Micro-Lock Level 2
The Urbane Pro Move has been designed to use Knox’s signature high-tenacity, abrasion-resistant fabric and paired with their In-Motion mesh. It’s rated at CE AA, and the sleek Knox Micro-Lock CE Level 2 armour can be found in the shoulders, elbows and back. Knox say “Because protection isn’t optional. But the feel? That’s transformed.”
The shirt’s fit has been re-engineered to better accommodate an optional chest protector. It’s worth noting that chest injuries, or “Thoracic cage trauma” to give it the medical term, are the second biggest killer of motorcyclists (after head injuries), so a chest protector is well worth using if your kit can accommodate it.
Knox Seasonless® Collection
Although this shirt can be worn with most outer bike jackets, it’s designed to work seamlessly with the Knox Seasonless® Collection. When it’s cool or wet, add a separate Knox warm or waterproof layer. They’re designed to work with any armoured shirt. One system for every season.
