The image at the top of your screen is what 198kmh looks like on an electric kick scooter as Velocifero boss, Alessandro Tartarini heads down the straight at Monza.
This record attempt was made fifty-four years after his father, Leopoldo Tartarini (founder of Italjet) set his own world record at Monza on the 3-wheeled prototype car pictured next to Alessandro and the scooter. Alessandro rode his own prototype ‘Kick scooter’ built by Velocifero to showcase what the company are capable of.
123mph – 0-62mph in 3.27 seconds
The specially built electric ‘Kick scooter’ was created for the record attempt by Velocifero and powered Alessandro down the Monza straight at 198 km/h (123mph) and did a 0-100 km/h (62mph) time of just 3.27 seconds.
Commenting on his achievements, Alessandro said “It was an incredible experience that brought together innovation, technology and adrenaline. I’d wanted to organise a World Record Challenge for a long time,” “I want to thank all my team, MAGELEC and our sponsors Rydbatt, Jinyuxing and Kangni for the passion and hard work they put in to this historic event.”
Velocifero
Velocifero are planning a series of events aimed at testing new technologies with an ambition to make their vehicles safer and raise awareness about the importance of sustainable urban mobility.
