We’ve chosen a winner; a lad called Ben Finlay. He said, “I’m a 24-year-old scooter lad who belongs in scooter land and I thought I’d have a bash at this, as I think I could offer a slightly different insight.”

What a ball-ache!
This is me en route to Kelso in 2021 or 2022, I can’t rightly remember. This was an absolute ball-ache of a trip. We only needed to cover approximately 85 miles (Durham to Kelso) so we set off at around 15:00 and did not arrive till 23:30
That was due to me holing a piston on my TS1. I had to wait for my lovely partner to come and pick me up in the car with the Lammy hanging out the boot. We went home to pinch/borrow one of my dad’s PXs, and then my riding buddy Bailey lost 4 bolts out of his fan/flywheel. He had to push it about 4 miles to mine! We got that fixed and set off again! Then, at about 22:00, on a pitch black B road, Bailey got a puncture; we found his spare was flat, exhaust out (one seized bolt which snapped), then fitted my spare to his bike. Arrived at Kelso, got on the drink, had a kebab, went to sleep, and woke up the next morning to find Bailey had been sick, absolutely covering the inside of the tent (which was my spare tent). I found him shivering in his sleeping bag outside the tent. An absolute whale of a time.
