Regular SLUK readers will know that we’ve got over seven years of features, road tests, rally reports, product tests, news and other scooter-related info behind us.
Sadly, back in 2020-2022 a bug much scarier than Covid slowly eroded many of those old features and turned them and the website to mush. It’s caused us untold problems behind the scenes and ruined the reading experience for anybody looking at our older articles.
Accessing the archives
Last autumn we had this excellent, completely new website built by Allied Digital in Scotland and pretty much started ScooterLab from scratch again.
The old articles have still been and still are visible on our ‘Archive’ site which can be accessed by clicking the tab on the top menu of your screen (or you can Google anything you want to search followed by SLUK and it’ll take you directly to it). It just means they aren’t currently searchable directly from the new site and many of them are corrupted, like the feature on the Stirling Moss custom Lambretta above. We’re working hard to fix these issues.
Restoration
We plan to fix all of the most important articles and bring them over to this new website. That process has started today and over the next few months, they’ll be restored, moved over and be as shiny as a new Vietnamese-built Vespa VBB.
