Yamaha’s popular 125cc Tricity 3-wheeler has just been updated for 2025 with a fresh new look and higher specification.
Styling on the 2025 Tricity 125 has been refined, with new compact front and rear bodywork. The shorter nose and tail align it with the larger Tricity 300. The rear body design has also been refined to create a ‘wheel arch’ inspired look. Stacked LED headlights and horizontal position lights give the familiar ‘Y-shaped’ motif of the 300 version. New LED taillights and integrated flashers also add to the modern aesthetics.
Class-leading braking
Yamaha’s Unified Braking System (UBS) automatically adjusts braking force to the two front 220mm discs and the 230mm rear. By optimising braking power to all three wheels, the UBS provides smooth and effective deceleration.
Connected 4.2″ TFT display and navigation
The new 4.2-inch TFT display allows the rider to select different display modes using the left handlebar-mounted cluster. Once the rider’s smartphone is paired with the Yamaha MyRide app, it allows turn-by-turn navigation on the TFT display. You can also see and accept incoming calls – as well as partially view text and social media messages, play music and check weather forecasts.
125cc Euro 5+ Blue Core engine with Stop & Start
The scooter is powered by a 125cc liquid-cooled 4-stroke engine, developed using Yamaha’s Blue Core technology to enhance performance and optimise efficiency. Fuel economy and emissions are further reduced by the Start & Stop system, which automatically cuts the engine when waiting at traffic lights or junctions and starts it again seamlessly when you’re ready to pull away.
Smart Key
Like most modern scooters, the Tricity 125 also boasts keyless ignition. With the Smart Key in your pocket, you can start the scooter and open the seat without inserting the key anywhere.
Leaning Multi-Wheel (LMW) steering
The Tricity Leaning Multi-Wheel steering system gives a feeling of stability and riding confidence, even on wet roads. The LMW steering geometry gives a natural turning feel and ensures smooth cornering on a variety of road surfaces. This makes the three-wheeled scooter an excellent choice for a novice or experienced rider.

Price and availability
The new Tricity 125 will come in a choice of three colours: Zen Green/Milky White and Matt Grey. It will be available in quarter three of 2025 and will be priced at £4,801. You can find your nearest Yamaha dealer here.
