Vespa PX 200 owners wanting to keep their scooters fairly standard, rather than going down the full-on tuning route will be pleased to know there’s an alternative available.
Ron Daley have introduced the ‘RD 200’ cylinder and piston kits for the workhorse geared Vespa. The cast iron cylinder is a direct replacement for the standard top end but has slightly tweaked porting to give it a little extra oomph. This isn’t meant to be a tuning kit though.
We’ve got one of the RD top ends here and the finish and quality look very good. We’re currently waiting for some tech info and dynos but will update this post as soon as we can.
Price and availability
The kit retails at £165 and comes complete with a two-ring piston, rings, a gudgeon pin, circlips, and a base gasket. You can reuse the standard PX head and the barrel takes a standard PX exhaust stub.
