We are pleased to announce that award-winning artist Dave Dickinson will be appearing live at ScooterExpo on 21 May 2023.

As Dave Dickinson Kustoms (DDK), Dave has been the artistic talent behind many of the country’s top custom scooters and motorcycles since he started painting scooters professionally back in 1997. His skills as an airbrush artist are legendary, his work adorning countless Vespa and Lambretta scooters of all ages from intricate murals and gold leaf work, to classic pin-striping as well as producing bold street racers too.

Dave doesn’t often work outside of the comforts of his Yorkshire studio but, after appearing at the first ScooterExpo in 2019, he enjoyed it so much he is making return visit this year. Last time he was working live on a piece of art that was used on the cover of edition 15 of ScooterNova magazine using both air brushes and traditional painting skills.

He has promised us something different this time and will be working throughout the day at the event for all to see. As well as working live, examples of both custom and classic scooters that have passed through the DDK studio will also be on show at ScooterExpo in May.

Where and when?

ScooterExpo 2 takes place on Sunday 21 May 2023 at Alfreton Leisure Centre which is in the town centre at Church Street, Alfreton, Derbyshire, DE55 7BD.

The event is spread over two halls in which some of the country’s finest custom and classic scooters from over the decades will be exhibited. With at least two brand-new scooters lined-up for unveiling on the day. There will also be traders displaying the latest classic scooter parts, tuning upgrades and modifications, along with some rare ‘new old stock’ parts and accessories too.

Guest speakers are booked to give talks throughout the day, including former Lambretta Racer and after-sales manager at Two Four Accessories Mike Hayman, along with Vespa Racer and head of VE UK Norrie Kerr.
