Pinasco have released their newly updated 3rd series, 4-pot radial brake calipers just in time for the new season.
Machined from solid billet and tested in Italian endurance racing, the latest version features a few worthy upgrades, including the new billet heat sink, designed to stop the brake fluid from boiling up. The caliper has also been tilted down to increase the surface area exposed to airflow. In race use, Pinasco claim they continue operating at 100% efficiency.
Quick bleed
The calipers are also equipped with a special bleeding system featuring independent pistons, which allows quick air removal and precise, fast brake fluid changes.
They also allow installation of the original speedo drive gear, but there is also a housing for a digital speedo sensor if required.
The CNC-machined calliper bracket has an 82mm spacing and is compatible with all 20mm Vespa axles.
Price and availability
The caliper kit is available in the following colour options:
- Black caliper/silver bracket
- Gold caliper/black bracket
- Black caliper/black bracket
It retails for €352, but if you buy direct from Pinasco there is a promotion on at the moment which brings the price down to €317 plus VAT/import duty. Or check out your local Pinasco stockist.
