ScooterLab introduced VMC to the masses back in 2021, and they’ve not stopped developing new products since then. They’ve also gained many fans around the world.

At this year’s EICMA, Alberto showed us around their latest products for Vespa PX.

Vespa Big Box Exhaust
Do you remember when expansion pipes were all the rage? These days, it’s all about a more practical and quieter exhaust. VMC’s latest creation may well be THE new Vespa box pipe to have, providing it performs well. It’s been well thought out and should work with different kits thanks to its adjustable length and swappable tailpipe.
Main features:
- Tailpipe/DB killer can be removed/changed for a different dimension pipe
- Manifold length is adjustable – a spacer can be fitted between the header pipe and exhaust
- The mounting bracket is designed to make fitting/removal easier
Availability?
The exhaust should be ready next spring; it’s made in Italy by a well-known manufacturer, so it will be more expensive than exhausts made in other parts of the world. Hopefully, there will be a PX and T5 version.

Stelvio 2.0 and Ranger kits
The new Stelvio 2.0 and Ranger kits feature a direct induction reed valve that bolts onto the cylinder. The reverse exit carb breathes through a plastic ‘snorkel’ manifold that doubles back to meet the original frame-mounted rubber hose. Prices and full specs will be available soon.

Vespa PX engine casings
This product is still in its early stages of development. In fact, the 3D printed prototype wasn’t even at the show on the first day; it was still being printed. The world certainly isn’t short of new Vespa casings but each manufacturer seems to have their own take on things.
The model on display had one half as a 200 and the other as 125/150. Both will be available.
Crankcase induction
The engine will have crankcase induction via a reed valve with a Boysen port to feed the fuel/air mixture. Other features include a revised position and enlarged hole for the oil filler, plus a clutch side oil seal/bearing retained by plate from the outside.
We’ll have to wait for the full spec, price and details on this product next summer.
King & Queen seat
New from VMC for Vespa PX is their take on the traditional King & Queen seat. The seat is better looking (in my opinion) than an original K&Q. The stitching and upholstery look good, and it’s been designed for comfort with an adjustable lumbar support. The seat also features a gas strut.
Vespa master cylinder
Last year, we were shown the prototype for a new and innovative VMC Vespa hydraulic master cylinder. This item slides into the headset in place of the standard brake lever, eliminating the need for fabrication to fit it. It’s a neat ‘plug & play’ solution. This will be available in the new year.
