The organisers of Margate National Scooter Rally have issued a warning for people to book their B&B, or camping quickly due to other events in the town over the rally weekend.
Big 7 Scooter Club found out over the weekend that Dreamland has added a reggae concert on Saturday evening to the already busy weekend of live entertainment (they were already aware of a Craig David concert on the Friday night). Although all the events are taking place at Dreamland over the weekend of June 21st-23rd, they are in separate areas and entry and exits are at different gates at different times. The live gigs are open-air events, whilst Big 7 have an indoor venue capable of holding 2,000 thirsty scooterists.
Book your pitches now!
What this does mean though is that accommodation is going to be hard to find and the longer you leave it the more expensive it will become on the usual booking sites.
Big 7 has secured a lovely-looking cliff-top campsite, with full facilities and glamping options. It has space for 600 people but there are currently just 170 camping tickets left and those will likely sell out well before the event – no camping ticket = no camping!
You can get camping and entertainment tickets directly from the Big 7 website here. Remember, Big 7 is a TICKET ONLY EVENT! See our recent scooter rally ticket article for more info on tickets for this and other rallies.
Booking.com
There are still a fair few B&Bs etc available for the rally weekend on Booking.com ranging in price from ยฃ265 upwards for two nights but tickets for the reggae festival go on sale later this week (Thursday Feb 29th) so expect things to fill up pretty quickly…

Reggae festival will go down well with the proper skins ๐๐ฝ
