Well then SLUKERS it’s ‘black-eye Friday and once this post hits your screens we’re off for a traditional town centre punch-up.
We’d like to thank you all for joining us this year (not for the punch-up!) and hope to see you all back here again in 2023.
Thanks to everybody who has bought stuff from our shop or has used the services of the sponsors who help keep ScooterLab going. Also to the people who have donated to our ‘Fill us up’ campaign (see below), it really is appreciated.
Also, many thanks to the various writers and contributors who have helped out. Big thanks to all the SLUKERS who have shared stories, commented, liked our social media posts and generally got involved in one way or another.

Fill us up campaign
In March 2016 we gave up our freelance writing careers and launched ScooterLab – the UK’s first free online scooter magazine. Over the years we have brought you thousands of articles, loads of videos and lots of scooter news and reviews – at no cost to yourself. Our big scoops and articles like the Casa Twin one cost hundreds of pounds to produce, plus lots of time and effort.
We’ve been supported along the way by our kind sponsors (you can see their adverts on this page) and by sales from our SLUK Shop.
Sadly, with ever-increasing costs and advertising budgets being cut it’s meant we’ve had to cut back on buying in content for the website.
We want ScooterLab to carry on being the ‘go-to’ place for the latest news, reviews and first rides. That’s why we’re launching our ‘Fill us up’ campaign. It’s a way that our readers can chuck us a couple of quid, (or however much you like) to help us fund what we do and literally fill up our scooters. You can just click the link above and donate directly through PayPal.
It’s the same way many online businesses and some newspapers help to generate a bit of income in the 21st century. Although the internet is ‘free’ it costs a lot to fill it.
We know the vast majority of readers aren’t likely to chip in but even if a small percentage do it’ll help to oil the wheels of scooter journalism and keep ScooterLab free for the shorter-armed (or short of cash) readers to enjoy.
If the donation way isn’t for you it’s still possible to help by buying our SLUK-branded merchandise, our plastics or other items from the SLUK Shop. Every donation or purchase helps to keep the website running.
Thanks for reading and for your support.
Iggy
