Well folks, the new SLUK website is now live (as you can see because you’re reading it!). Hopefully you’ll find this a much smoother and quicker experience than the previous site.
Before you head off to explore we’ll give you a couple of pointers and explain how things work.
Search and archive
Two of the most important features of the new website are the search function and SLUK Archives. Both can be found at the top right of your screen.
The new improved search function is a powerful tool (magnifying glass at the top of your screen) and will help you find articles, or look for specific topics that we’ve covered on the NEW SLUK website. Over time as this version of the website fills up it’ll become your best friend. It’s a powerful tool.
SLUK Archives is where you’ll find the previous seven (almost) years of ScooterLab, everything you’ve read on SLUK up until November 4th 2022 can be accessed and searched through the archives. So if you’re looking for our series of Pinasco 251 articles for instance, head to SLUK Archives and do a search, or simply do a Google search for ‘SLUK Pinasco 251’ – or whatever it is you’re looking for. .
Simplified menus
We’ve simplified the menu layouts to make navigation easier than it was previously. Because we’ve only added the last couple of months worth of ‘old SLUK’ to this site there may be some gaps to begin with but these will be populated in time.
As part of our revamp we’ve also separated the shop from the main site, this helps to reduce some pressure on the bulging server and helps the main site to run faster and hopefully with less issues.
The new SLUK Shop has also been simplified and also includes the new improved search function so if you’re looking for a ‘SLUK Guard’ just type it into the shop search function.
You can access the shop from the top right of your screen as always but you can also find it at: www.slukshop.uk
Galleries/Ralleries
We use lots of galleries of images for rally write ups and occasionally for other features. The new improved galleries should be much easier to spot and navigate. Simply click and drag the images across your screen.
Multi lingual
Although many of our readers are English speaking we do have readers from all around the world. We’ve retained the translation feature of the website so you can simply select the language of your choice. You can change languages by selecting your country from the menu at the bottom right of the screen, if your language isn’t available just get in touch and we’ll add it for you.
Let us know what you think
Our comments section has also been improved, you can find it below each post. Let us know what you like about the new website, or dislike and we’ll do our best to get things sorted.
You can also let us know if you spot anything that’s not working as it should.
