Mamma Mia, here we go again. I remember the night, in Adria, where it was announced that Poland was the location for the next Euro…

The next thing I remember is looking at the map and going, no way Jose! Of course, I didn’t want a future FOMO, so I went and had a jolly nice time. We all did. Two weeks of it.

Belgium was ace, we made a good fist of an extended trip. However, Peterborough for us lot, as a Euro… that was never going to be enough to quench our travelling thirst. Well, via some connections (that I can take no credit for being part of), we, the usual Manchester Lyons Euro crew, got asked if we would like to tag along on a trip some rather fine chaps had planned. A trip to Denmark and Sweden. I love Sweden, Mrs Wood and I have had a couple of excellent trips there. So how could we resist?

So 8 of us, well-travelled and well-worn should know betters are leaving for the ‘Scandi Raid’ to Angleholme today, in fact, we’re on our way to the ferry right now. Various groups are en route and we will be meeting others in Germany. Then we’re heading en mass to Denmark, where after a night of camping, we will cross ‘the bridge’. Yeah, that one from TV. All 25 km of it. The Öresund Bridge connect Denmark and Sweden and after 5 miles disappears into the sea for a 2.5-mile-long tunnel. Not the place a Lambretta wants to break down…

We will be met and entertained by fellow scooterists from Germany, Denmark and Sweden. Once there, we’ll stay a few days and then come home. Pretty standard for a ‘European’ Euro.

If I don’t store half the memory cards somewhere so safe and secure I actually lose them, (as I did in Belgium last year) there should be a film to accompany the trip and the SLUK feature about our travels. At least I hope so, I owe SLUK a new movie…
