BSSO Cadwell Park – Race report: #65 Ben Readings | SPORT

For the first time ever, a BSSO event and a BSEC event clashed. This meant a decision had to be made by the Hornet Racing team, whether we wanted to go and do the endurance at Teesside or if we wanted to go to Cadwell. To me, a straightforward choice.…

British Scooter Endurance Club – Tside8 2024 | SPORT

Sadly for me, this event rather rudely clashed with a scooterist friend's wedding in Las Vegas. This meant for only the second, or third time in BSEC's history I had to miss competing. It's also the reason why this race report has been published later than usual. Luckily, the recently…

Crovespa 2024: An annual Croatian Vespa event | RALLERY

Without a doubt, one of the best things I've ever done on a Vespa is to ride to Croatia for Vespa World Days 2015. Sleeping in 11 different countries, most in a tent and having the ride of a lifetime. The three-part feature from that Vespa World Days trip will…

BSSO Cadwell Park – Rookie George smashes it up! | SPORT

With a late ETA, we set off from Southampton around 4:30 pm (after school). We had a long car journey of around five and a half hours. After arriving at Cadwell I had a brief look at the scooter and went to sleep. The previous race at Anglesey, I was…

Lambretta Offroad Cup 2024: international offroad endurance race | SPORT

Masochism. That’s the only way I can explain why anyone would want to race a Lambretta around a full-on Motocross circuit for 6-hours. Or perhaps Schadenfreude – joy in the suffering of others – for those who came to spectate. If you didn’t see some pain and misery then you’d…

Mersea Island Scooter Rally 2024 | RALLERY

Mersea Island Scooter Rally 2024 No sooner have we recovered from the excesses of the Isle of Wight National rally, than it was time to strap the tent to the scooter again and head to Mersea Island for the Colchester DVLC’s excellent rally. The 2000 tickets for this rally sold…

Ben Readings #65: Anglesey Race Report | SPORT

A positive weather forecast filled me with hope of some incredible racing at Anglesey race circuit this weekend. With the really long drive (including some sightseeing) behind me and a good night's sleep under my belt, I was more than excited to get back out on this brilliant track. Stock…

BSRA #8: The Isle of Wight International Scooter Rally 2024 | RALLERY

For many scooterists, the Isle of Wight International Scooter Rally is the biggest rally of the year and with a rumoured 8000 scooterists crossing over to the island, it clearly is the biggest in number terms. However, sadly it’s also become the biggest in terms of geographic spread, as the…

BSSO Anglesey: SLUK Rookie George laps it up | SPORT

After a long few days travelling through Wales, we arrived at Anglesey circuit around noon on Friday, only to find a very unhappy lady stood on the front gate. She explained that we couldn’t get in until 6 pm. To kill time I decided to watch the current track day,…

Glevum Stax – River Run | RALLERY

If there is one weekend I’d been looking forward to all year it had to be this one. It’s a great little sold-out, ticket-only rally in a lovely part of the world and is always guaranteed to be good fun. This event was to celebrate Glevum Stax Scooter Club's 45th…
