If you enjoy watching scooters get thrashed around a track non-stop for eight hours, get yourself down to Whilton Mill this Saturday…

Yes, folks, the British Scooter Endurance Club (BSEC) are holding their first meeting of the year on Saturday, 28th March. That’s very early this year (last year’s Whilton was at the end of June).

As always, spectating at BSEC is FREE, and you get a full day of high-octane enjoyment from 10 am when the flag drops until 6 pm when the race ends.

Where is it?

The Whilton Mill kart track is at Whilton Locks, Daventry, NN11 2NH.

Facilities

Whilton is a great track for spectators, with pretty much the whole track visible. It also has a good-sized paddock with grassed areas for camping (although it might be a bit ‘fresh’ for a night under canvas this weekend!).

There’s a very nice cafe ‘The Break Pad’ with a balcony overlooking the track, it sells much better than the average track food and also has a bar (open till 9 pm on Friday, and 10 pm Saturday). Scooterists drank the bar dry last year!

Of course, there are toilets and showers within the main building.

This is how our washing line will look outside the #4, London Lambretta Club gazebo tomorrow after practice…
