After much speculation, Piaggio has confirmed that next year’s Vespa World Days will be held in Rome from June 25th to 28th.
It’s being billed as the “Biggest Vespa Party ever”, and if last year’s Vespa World Days in Pontedera is anything to go by, I’d believe it.
Open to the public?
Tens of thousands of Vespa fans are expected to descend on the historic city from all over the world. The press release says that it “Won’t just be a party for the most ardent fans” and that “Rome will play host to four days of partying and events, for Vespa fans and others.” Does this mean it’ll be an event open to anybody, rather than just ticket-holding members of Vespa Clubs? It sounds that way.

No further information is available at this time, except that the event will be taking place right in the centre of the city, close to the Olympic stadium.

Fascia Verde
Since 2022, Rome has had its own version of ULEZ called Fascia Verde (Green Belt). This means many scooters aren’t allowed to ride in the city. It’s highly likely Piaggio has negotiated a temporary dispensation for the Vespa World Days weekend, so this will probably be your one and only chance to ride a two stroke in the city.
