What happens when you cross the spirit of Scooterist Meltdown with a beautiful area of Germany, famed for its locally produced wine and stunning scenery?
That’s right, you get the MadMoselle Scootacular! It’s a brand new ALL-INCLUSIVE event by Spirit of 84 Scooterists – the team behind legendary events like Meltdown, Wangerland and Venlo. The inaugural Scootacular will take place over the same weekend as Meltdown used previously, that’s the 6th-9th of February 2026.
That’s your campsite just across the river, I think the Germans have pulled off a blinder here…
Holiday vibe
This event will take you out of the all too familiar post-nuclear bunker and into the German countryside. With beautiful surroundings, quality accommodation, a better class of food and plenty of drinks, it looks like being a great addition to the winter scooter offerings.
Of course, you’ll also be getting all the features you’d expect from an event like Scooterist Meltdown and you’ll be sorry if you miss the first one!
Entertainment
Over the weekend, a host of international DJs will be pumping out the tunes in two rooms, traditional scooterist sounds in the main Room and Indie next door. On Saturday there will also be some live music to shake your booty to.
If you want a more chilled evening, you can sit in the cocktail bar in the upstairs gallery.
Or you can treat the event as more of a holiday. There’s mini golf, beach volleyball, and bowling to keep you off the beer for a while.
Custom show & dealer’s market
Although the show won’t be on quite as big a scale as Meltdown in the first year, you can still expect to see the cream of the crop both on the custom scene and dealer-wise.

Pool party
Saturday will see a massive pool party on site with ‘water sports’, chilled-out beach tunes, and cocktails. Trophies will be awarded for the best beach outfits, although I have a feeling there may well be a few sights that nobody wants to see.
Saunas and massages are also available.
Accomodation
The accommodation comprises of self-contained houses and apartments (2 bed apartment, or a 3 or four bed house) around the main village. Most of the units have a small kitchen and the houses are finished to a high standard.
Cost
A 2-night package will cost €310, and if you want to stay an extra day, it will cost €399.
The prices are ALL-INCLUSIVE and include the following…
- All meals in the restaurant
- Snack buffets outside the restaurant

The three-night package also includes

Food and drink
It goes without saying that scooterists know how to take full advantage of an all-you-can-drink bar.
Wine drinkers will be happy to know that, amongst German beer, spirits, cocktails and branded beverages, there will also be a good selection of locally produced wines to sample. As well as soft drinks and coffee etc.
The food is said to be of a high standard with an extensive breakfast menu and a ‘late-riser’ breakfast for those who overdid it the night before. Lunchtimes and evenings will see a varied selection of German and international cuisine served buffet style.
Where is it?
The Resort Moseltal, is a complete purpose-built holiday village set on the riverbank overlooking vineyards. The venue is located in the German Moselle valley, close to the Belgian/Luxembourg border. The river separates two medium-high mountain ranges and winds through a beautiful, ancient landscape before it meets the river Rhine at Koblenz.
The Moselle Valley is renowned for its mild climate, great hospitality and picturesque wine-growing villages. Towns such as Traben-Trarbach or Bernkastel-Kues and castles like Eltz or Cochem are a must in any travel guide.
Getting there on two wheels
Scootacular is a little further from the ferry ports than Meltdown was, but the brave may still want to get there on two wheels.

Flying there
The closest airport is Hahn, which is 30 miles away but from the UK, you can only fly there via Stansted. Luxembourg is 40 miles from the venue and easy to fly to from London airports, as well as Manchester and Edinburgh. Frankfurt is 96 miles away, but flights are easy to get from all over the world. Koln-Bonn is 98 miles and you can fly there from Stansted, Heathrow, Edinburgh and Manchester.

Booking opens after Easter
The dedicated event website is up and running, complete with an online booking system. It only went live today, and bookings will be taken after the Easter weekend, which gives you time to get a few mates interested…
Well, I must say how can this Moselle Valley venue compete with the likes of Margate and other classy British venues. For me, surely there is no substitute for the wonderful catering of a seaside dog burger stand where the vendors never wash their hands, with soggy, fat dripping chips and sauce pots encrusted with years old residue of red, brown and cream colored slime. They can keep the gourmet chef prepared nouveau cuisine! Forget heated indoor pools, pah! Nothing can beat swimming in the excrement of the local town vented into the sea for a culturally immersive experience and as for spotless, warm and well appointed en suite guest rooms, give me a cold, drafty overpriced B&B with a worn out bed that stabs you with broken springs in the night and has a non flushing toilet anyday. All inclusive “cocktails” with local wines of the Moselle? Never! Give me hour long queues to get served in standing room only pubs, charging £8 a pint for warm, weak beer, made with locally grown Kent hops, from the Garden of England. Oh, sorry, I forgot, all the hop fields have been torn down to make way for mass cloned housing. No! Why on Earth should I want to go to the Moselle Valley when there is Margate? 🙁
