Polini’s new Vespa PX HT Clutch For Race will land in dealers in the next few weeks and has quite a few features that make it stand out from other up-rated clutches.

Polini has used innovative ‘reverse clutch technology’ on the HT clutch. It means the lighter internal clutch hub is connected to the crank, instead of the heavier clutch bell. This reduces inertia and gives smoother, faster and more precise gear changes.

The straight tooth clutch has 22 teeth (23 and 24 tooth versions are available) for 64 tooth primary, 4 friction plates and three plain plates.

It features:

  • Pressure plate on axial bearing
  • Aluminium bell
  • Cover from the block with oil collection groove

100% made in Italy

The aluminium discs have eight teeth to maximise transmission efficiency and guarantee more power is transmitted to the rear wheel. There’s also the ability to adjust the spring load and choose the optimal teeth of the primary gear to adapt the ratios. It’s also possible to adapt the clutch for race use by replacing the primary gear.

Gear shift is said to be precise, smooth and effortless.

Polini HT clutch options:

Item: 230.0530 Z=24 straight teeth (Polini primary gear)

Item: 230.0531 Z=23 straight teeth (Polini primary gear)

Item: 230.0532 Z=22 straight teeth (Polini primary gear)

Item: 230.0533 Z=23 helical teeth (original primary gear)

Item: 230.0534 Z=22 helical teeth (original primary gear)
