Well, that little competition turned out to be much bigger than anticipated!
Thanks to everybody who took the time to send in an entry to try and win a new T5 SIP speedo. We had T5 Mark 1 owners from England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales, as well as Spain, Greece, Germany, France, Turkey and Canada. It’s always great to see SLUK reaching scooter-riding readers around the world. You can catch up on all the entrants here.
Come in number 29
Unfortunately, there can be only one winner out of the 33 entries we published. It was a close call but we chose entry number 29, Kevin Allsopp.
It turned out that Kevin prompted SIP to make the T5 speedo during a chat in Belfast at Vespa World Days 2018. We’ve verified that the conversation took place and Kevin will have his prize before Christmas. When we told Kevin he’d won he said, “That is fantastic news! Definitely brightened up a rainy day – I have been looking forward to this product being developed for so long!”
Once Kevin has fitted and used the scooter we’ll let him review it.
