Hot off the press! Live from the meeting in Llandudno, here are the BSRA National Scooter Rally dates and venues for 2024 and it’s probably the biggest shake-up in years.
The National calendar will encompass England, Scotland, Wales and for the first time ever, Northern Ireland.
Portrush (update – sold out)
After starting the year off in Whitby at Easter we have a brand new and exciting National Rally venue in Northern Ireland. Hosted by the Damsels in Distress, Portrush is a lovely seaside town (pictured above) with a beautiful ride up the Antrim Coast road thrown in for good measure. The Damsels have been running a small rally there for a number of years every September but have stepped it up and turned it into a new National. Getting there is fairly easy via ferry to Belfast from UK ports and it’s a great chance to discover the beauty of Northern Ireland.
Scotland
It’s back to Kelso for the Scottish rally and for many scooterists there’s no reason to change from this popular riverside town.
Newark 40-year anniversary
It’s not the first National in the town but we’ve not been since the 30th anniversary in 2014. This event is being hosted by East Midlands Scooter Alliance and will be held as the 40th anniversary of the infamous Newark rally of 1984.
Weymouth
If you missed out on the first South West Scooter Clubs rally to Weymouth in 2022 make sure you get to this one. It’s a fantastic town. B&B accommodation is a bit limited but there will be an official campsite and it’s likely to be warm down south at that time of year.
Margate – ticket only event
Hosted by Big 7 this ticket-only event is selling fast so get your tickets soon! Camping and glamping is available but is also ticket only. Visit the website to buy yours.
The last time a National Rally was hosted in the Kent town was way back in 2007. Apparently, Margate has had plenty of money spent on rejuvenating it since our last visit and Big 7 are going to bring you their usual kind of full-on rally entertainment, at Dreamland in the centre of town.
Llandudno
Hopefully, everybody who was at Llandudno enjoyed the weekend. because we’re going back for the end-of-season Trade and Custom Show in 2024. There is a change though, so take note if you’ve already pre-booked your B&B… the rally will take place a week earlier than usual due to a large religious event being held in the town on the last weekend in October.
That’s good news for anybody who usually does the Brid rally because they can now do both.

I’m keen to come to the Kelso Scooter rally this year 24 – 26th May but I cant seem to find out where to book anything. I understand people pay on the gate but we have a motorhome and there are apparently only a few spaces so we are keen to get a place

At the minute they’ve not started advertising Kelso and don’t have a Facebook page either so you’ll have to wait for the time being I’m afraid.
Does anyone know what the Kelso entertainment is come May…..
