Unless you’ve been living under a rock you’ll know that this Sunday we’re co-hosting ScooterExpo along with our friends from ScooterNova Magazine.
We’re not going to divulge details of the scooters you’ll find there but the 119 hand-picked machines from England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales will be one of the best displays you’ve ever seen.
There will also be quite a few traders showing off their products and services, we’ve already highlighted a few this week. Here’s a quick rundown of all the dealers who will be attending and where you can find them.
Hall 1
DDK Custom Airbrushing
Dave Dickinson will have lots of his work on display around the halls of ScooterExpo but will also be displaying some of his artwork and will be treating the crowds to some live airbrushing. The main display will take place between midday and 1 pm, between the guest speaker slots, with Dave available for Q&A before and after at his stand.
ScooterNova & SLUK
Because we’re running Expo we’ll only be having a limited selection of our own products. If you want a t-shirt, magazine or badge pop over and see what we have.ScooterExpo merch
You’ll also be able to buy the official ScooterExpo t-shirts and patches. These are limited edition and only available at the show so be early!
Free sticker & programme
The first 1500 people through the doors will get a free Expo sticker and programme.
Toot’s get you home spares
Toots ran the LCGB shop for many years but is trading under his own name and will have a selection of ‘get you home’ parts. The kind of stuff that might just get you out of trouble on the day.
Scoots & Soul
With their finely upholstered Bentley Lambretta seats on show and the possibility of a new hinged seat it’s worth checking these out at Expo. They will also have some samples of different foams and leather for you to grab a feel of.
Lexham Insurance
There can’t be a harder-working scooter insurer than Lexham. You see them supporting scooter events around the UK, they also sponsor lots of events and support both Scooter Lab and ScooterNova. Drop by their stand in Hall 1 and speak to them about any thoughts or concerns you have about your insurance. They can cover multi-scooter policies, include breakdown assistance, agreed value and custom scooters. Have a chat with MD, Andy Goodson, having a familiar face to deal with any concerns is well worth having from your insurer.
VE (UK)
Still run by the Kerr family, VE (UK) are also one of the ScooterExpo sponsors. They will be showcasing, for the first time on English soil their new range of VMC Vespa tuning parts. The Italian brand was first showcased on SLUK back in 2021 and have a huge range of products. You can now buy them directly in the UK from VE. The Derby-based parts distributor will also be showing off some of the AF Rayspeed goodies, they’re now an agent for AF, which means it’ll be easier for customers to buy online. VE will also have products from established Italian tuning companies Malossi, Pinasco and Polini. Believe us, there will be a lot to see here.
Hall 2
Slacker the pin striper
The art of pinstriping has never been more popular and Slacker will be showing off his skills live on the day. If you’ve got anything you want painting, bring it to the show and he’ll do his best to fit you in.
Crusader Promotions
If you’ve bought a patch on a rally over the last 20 years or so you’ll have bought it from Crusader. At Expo they’ll be having a selection of older patches going right back to 2001 and t-shirts for you to buy. If you’re missing something from your memorabilia collection be sure to pay them a visit.
Nankang Tyres
We’ve been championing this brand for a while now and selling them through the SLUK Shop. Stop by and have a chat to the UK Nankang guys. Stick your fingernails in the sticky rubber and see which compound you’ll fit to your own scooter. You can order via our webshop to save you carting tyres home on the day.
Scooter Surgery
London-based Scooter Surgery are heading north to show off their Spitfire tools and will also have the new Lambretta LD Stratos ignition on display. They also have lots of other Lambretta goodies.
JB Fabrication
Jon Betts of JB Fabrication makes some very useful tools for scooterists. He will have a new version of his crank truing stand with a larger plate to allow easier fitment of a dial gauge. Jon has also been working on a new Vespa engine stand that attaches to his universal bench mount and allows large and smallframe Vespa engines, plus Lambretta engines. Jon is also involved with Eddie Kidd and will have the latest official Eddie Kidd merchandise on sale.
K2 Custom Classics
Keith Newman makes some lovely custom one-off parts (many of which you’ll see on the custom scooters in the show). Have a chat to him about any ideas you may have, he’ll do his best to realise your dreams. Bespoke custom parts are his speciality.
Swiss Tony
There can’t be many places in the country with a bigger stock of Lambrettas, parts and accessories than Swiss Tony. He’ll be bringing a carefully selected range to the show. He won’t be bringing loads of scooters to Expo but if you need a project scooter, go and speak to him.
JB Tuning
John Balcomb’s JB Tuning are the UK’s main Casa Performance specialists and they’ll be showing off some of the fastest Lambretta parts around. If you’re looking for SST, SSR, Twin or Sledgehammer builds or advice go and have a chat.
Scooter Restorations
Nottingham-based Scooter Restorations have what is probably still the largest stock of Lambretta parts in the country. Paul will be on hand to answer any questions you might have when it comes to building, maintaining or restoring your own Lambrettas.
Vespajets2
This Essex-based company sell much more than just Vespa Jets! They’ll have lots of parts for you to check out.
Go Scoot
Vintage Vespa parts and accessories aren’t easy to come by but Go Scoot specialise in used and NOS parts for Vespa from the 1950s onwards. They also have a good selection of speedos, lights and vintage memorabilia.
Rich Presley
Rich has been doing Lambretta shock absorbers for a while but has recently started selling front adjustable dampers as well. He’ll have a selection for you to choose from and a few other parts.
Where and when
ScooterExpo takes place on Sunday 21st May at Alfreton Leisure Centre in Alfreton, Derbyshire, DE55 7BD.
Doors open at 10 am and we have 119 scooters from around the UK entered, they’ll be displayed over two halls.
Speakers corner
If you want to listen to tales of yesteryear, Norrie Kerr and Mike Hayman will be chatting in ‘Speakers Corner’ at 11:15-12:15 and 1 pm-2 pm. You can find them in the meeting room at the side of the bar in Hall 1.

- Car/scooter parking is free on-site but will be busy – please park considerately

- There are other places to park in Alfreton town centre and it’s only a short walk away
- We’ll have an outside bar and caterer
- The event closes at 4 pm and we’ll have a small presentation at 3:30 pm
