What’s new in the SLUK Shop?
Our online SLUK Shop emporium is growing steadily with new and exclusive products being added all the time. If you can spare a few minutes have a look through and you might just find something you need, or a useful Christmas present for somebody else. Buying from us helps to keep ScooterLab going.
As well as SLUK branded t-shirts and jackets, screens and jump starters we’ve also got a few new items to show off so read on…
We’ve teamed up with Scooterdelic to offer two of their t-shirt designs. Steve is the man behind them. He originally qualified as an illustrator many moons ago but always felt gravitated towards design for print. He’s been working in design agencies now for nearly 20 years but still gets a kick out of seeing his designs in print. Steve rides a Lambretta and a Vespa T5, and seems to keep getting his hands dirty either fixing or fiddling with them almost constantly.
Steve said “As an enthusiastic designer and scooterist, it made perfect sense for the two worlds to collide. I wanted to get some designs out there that would appeal to scooterists and scooter lovers. Items that were printed well, unpretentious and reasonably priced. As well as the T-shirts, I’ve created large format framed canvas prints and framable giclée prints that are influenced by my love of scootering, music and 60’s design. All my screen-printing and canvas/giclée printing is done by hand in the UK. I’d love to see the range of products expanded beyond T-shirts and develop the ‘brand’ if the initial venture proves a success.

Scomadi SLUK Sports screens
The latest addition is especially for Scomadi owners who want a good looking and practical screen for their scooter. Designed, made and hand finished in the UK the screen is exclusive to SLUK. Like our other popular screens, it’s made from tough 3mm ABS plastic and comes in a choice of four colours. High gloss black, metallic silver, glossy carbon effect or clear.
The screens fit perfectly and simply use the existing screw locations either side of the headlight. The screen comes with two longer stainless steel screws to replace the original ones. No additional untidy brackets are needed and because of the strength of the design they suffer hardly any vibration, even at top speed on the 200. Our long-term Scomadi FP 200 owner and occasional contributor, Bill Mac has been using one on his daily commute and is suitably impressed, you can read his review here.
If you’ve not had a screen on before you’ll notice that you get better weather protection and may also gain a little top speed if you get crouched down behind it.
The screens are available now and although they’re made to order they usually get shipped out within 2-3 days so you won’t be waiting too long. If you’re wondering what else we’ve got up our sleeves the GTS is next on our Scooter Lab development programme.

We’ve just added the very stylish Mick GT jacket from Connection Knitwear. The Italian company have a few nice items that will appeal to the casual scooter rider, or a scooter rider who likes to look cool on their scooter – or when out and about. The jackets come direct from the Italian manufacturer and we’ll be adding more of the range if they prove popular.
They can be found in our shop: HERE
