Testing: SLUK directory summer gloves | CLOTHING REVIEWS
Summer is here, so now’s the time to ditch those heavy, sweaty waterproof gloves and treat yourself to something lighter for the warmer months of riding we have ahead!
We’ve been using these Tucano Urbano MRK Pro gloves for a few months now and once again the Italian clothing company haven’t disappointed us. They feature a synthetic suede fabric palm with leather inserts on the fingers, knuckles and wrist for protection, along with hard ABS inserts on the knuckles. The MRK Pro also have elasticised fingers for a comfortable fit, and of course the all-important mesh panels for ventilation. Add a Velcro wrist strap for security and you’ve got a comfortable, lightweight glove that offers cooling on summer’s day while still protecting your hands (all those that wear fashion gloves, or worse still no gloves in the summer, please take note!).
The tech-geeks will also appreciate the fact that the fore and middle fingers are finished with touch-screen sensitive material, which will be handy for checking out the details of the rally you’re riding too on SLUK’s exclusive new (and extremely useful!) event-directory page should you get lost en route!
The Tucano Urbano MRK Pro gloves come in sizes XS to XXL and have a retail price of £45.99.
