Support a fallen scooterboy – Ady Thurland | NEWS
What’s the worst that can happen?
That’s a catch-phrase of TT/TV hero Guy Martin who loves to push a boundary and has cheated death a few times.
The worst that can happen is you get run over by a bus having never lived, or in the case of Northants scooterist Ady Thurland, it could be falling off a ladder and breaking your neck. All those years riding around like a hooligan and you get hurt by a fricking ladder.
It’s not our policy on SLUK to promote specific events over others, but those from the ‘scooterboy’ generation still think of the scooter scene in family terms. Ady is currently recovering in Sheffield hospital (some place to be left for a lad with a Leeds United tattoo on his leg) but he is currently paralysed.
Scooterboys being what they are, his mates, lead by Paul Bryan, are putting together a fund-raiser for his family who must be going through hell at this time.
The event is to be held on the 27th may 2017 at the Obelisk Centre, Northampton, NN28UE. All the details are on this listing in our events guide on SLUK.
If you would like to support a fellow scooterboy, then entry is a tenner. All donations or raffle prizes gratefully appreciated. If something like this happened to any of us, we’d hope for the same support from our mates.
