Sunra are launching their Robo electric scooters in London before rolling them out nationwide in the New Year. Despite being new to the UK, Sunra were founded in 1999 and established themselves as a key player in the Electric Vehicle industry.

The company is listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange with a value of $1,1bn. They currently manufacture over four million units per year from their four cutting edge factories and deliver to over 70 countries worldwide. After seeing strong sales in Europe the scooters have just arrived in England.


Robo and Robo-S

Two models will be available initially. The Robo is a learner legal moped equivalent with a top speed of 28mph and a range of 40 miles from its removable lithium-ion battery. The bigger brother is the Robo-S, that one has a top speed of 50mph and an extra battery located beneath the flat floorboards. Robo-S has a claimed range of 84 miles.

Fingerprint ignition

The scooters are available in gloss white or gloss black and come with fingerprint recognition keyless start, full LED lighting, app connectivity, a USB charge point and 24-litres of underseat storage space. They’re backed by a 2-year unlimited mileage warranty and 3-year battery warranty.


Plug-in grant?

Both models are fully UK compliant and meet the strict requirements for the ‘Plug-In Motorcycle Grant’ which will save the buyer 20% off the retail price. The Robo retails at £2499 and the Robo-S is £3299 (including the grant discount).
