Spada Hartbury ladies jacket | CLOTHING REVIEWS
Bike clothing has come on a lot over the years, especially for females. Girls’ jackets have gone from bulky adapted men’s textiles, or garish leather with over the top pink trimming and flowers to well cut and stylish garments like this Spada Hartbury. Just because we’re female it doesn’t mean we need to dress in pink and wear ribbons in our hair!
I’ve had this jacket for a year or so and although I try to save it for those nicer journeys, rather than wintry or wet rides it is a great spring to autumn jacket. It’s made from dry waxed cotton so it won’t leave marks on your favourite jeans, comes with four piece armour (shoulders, elbows), has a fixed tartan thermal lining, removable fur feel collar, a storm flap and adjusters to the waist and cuffs.
The jacket looks great on and fits well, the waxed cotton even smells nice! I’ve not used it long distance in a downpour but it has seen a bit of rain and didn’t let me down. Other than fantastic styling to set it apart, the Hartbury retails at a very reasonable £159.99. It’s available in any colour as long as it’s black and in sizes 8 to 18.
