SLUK is Upgrading | EDITORIAL

You may have noticed that ScooterLab’s Retro homepage has had a bit of a revamp recently. Scooterists love to have a little tinker under the sidepanels and we’ve had the chisel out.
This is the first of many forthcoming upgrades, which will also affect other areas of the site, so be prepared for the odd roadside repair made using bits of wire and gaffer tape.
We remain dedicated to bringing you the best scooter magazine on the web. Indeed the first and only one to be done properly. This means new upgrades to both site structure and content in response to feedback from users.
What we ask of you, fellow Scooterists, is to tell us if you spot a flat tyre or a wobbly wheel. Feel free to leave a comment below if you spot a blooper or have an upgrade suggestion.
Cheers – the SLUKers

Why is the page about classic scooters named retro? Retro Style means an imitation of the past. A Scomadi is retro imo, a Lambretta is a true classic.

Retro was chosen for exactly that reason. We do not wish to exclude any scooter riders from the ‘scene’ content (of which there are now many Scomadi and modern Vespa in the UK) by forcing them in with the modern side of the site. In our opinion these models span both.

I’d like to see nicely filmed & edited rally/show reports presented by somebody, along the lines of SipTV. Also, get some killer t shirt designs done & set up a store coz I’m a sucker for merch!!

Thanks Cat – filming and editing are skills we are building on all the time. For the biggest video yet wait for tomorrow’s Sunday SLUK and let us know what you think. Merch to follow… 🙂
