Strong & Stable?

Here’s a new promo we’ve put together for our ‘SLUK Support’ rack extensions which have now proved themseleves in action all over Europe.

More than that, we encountered a load of lads from Hastings at Euro-Lambretta, one of whom had bought a SLUK Support before setting off and another of their group who thought it was sufficient to put all his luggage direct onto the Sprint Rack of his scooter.

I’m sure you can guess what is coming next…

Quick Release

We aren’t expecting anyone to leave these permanently on their scooter. They are designed to do a job and be removed afterwards, thus we have two different fitting methods as shown in this video.

SLUK Support’s corrugated shape makes it strong. If you pile on enough luggage to break one then you are seriously overloaded.

Support those who support your luggage

We know that other home-made or adapted solutions exist for this job, but SLUK Support is purpose–made from moulded 4mm ABS. It is feather light, but still provides a wider load surface and additional fastening points for stabilising your luggage.

It even features two drinks holders for camping escapades.

Use of

SLUK Support is designed to keep your luggage central and balanced, but we recommend that all of your main straps connect to the metal of the rack itself wherever possible. Additional holes for bungee hooks, cargo nets or Rok Straps are provided at the end of the Support to further stabilise your luggage.

You can buy SLUK Supports in the SLUK Shop. All are priced at £25 + P&P

Special thanks to Workington-based punk band Fat Albert for use of their tune ‘Stand Strong’. For more on the Cumbrian punk scene see the video below:
