We’ve been busy beavering away on our SLUK shop products, making little improvements and doing our best to improve quality and value for money.
Domed SLUK Badges
The big news is that from today all the Vespa, Lambretta and Scomadi screens we make will come with a special chrome black and blue domed badge.
We were tempted to put a special recess into the screens for them but decided against it on the basis that some people might like to leave the screens looking bare and classic. Having said that, the 50mm-long badges look stunning and we expect most customers will want to fit them.
SLUK XL5 markings
The inside lip of the latest batch of our immensely popular XL5 Lambretta screens is now moulded with ‘SLUK ENGLAND’ in raised lettering. From the outside it is invisible. The marking serves no purpose except to identify it as a genuine British product, hand-made in the Midlands.
As a result of further testing we have updated the fitting instructions for the XL5 screen.
We are also looking to expand our range of XL5 models beyond Series 2 and 3 Lambrettas in the next few months.
SLUK Scomadi Screen
Nigel has altered the Scomadi screen fitting; which now comes with new stainless steel screws and thick rubber spacer washers pre-assembled in the screen as they are meant to fit.
We have other new (non-screen related) products coming on-line soon as the SLUK shop expands in the coming weeks. Look out for a few technical products developed with the help of ScooterLab in conjunction with other firms from around the world.
At EXPO there were several British manufacturers of scooter-related products who expressed an interest in working with us in the future. Some are so exciting that we can barely contain ourselves.
2017 looks like being an exciting year for your favourite FREE online scooter magazine. If you want to know what’s going on the instant we release a story, make sure to sign up for SLUK notifications.
