Scomadi Turismo Technica | NEWS
Scomadi Worldwide have released some technical details for the new Turismo Technica, ahead of its launch at the Bangkok Motor Show, which opens on March 29th.
All models will be fitted as standard with gas assisted anti-dive (circled in red above) and an all-new front brake calliper bracket made from 7075 aircraft grade alloy, sporting the Scomadi logo.
Steel bodywork?
The model also features new 5-spoke wheels, tyres are being upgraded to IRC and Pirelli on the 200cc. Most of the new features will be compatible with older Scomadi models.
In a prior announcement Scomadi revealed “the scooters will have a space frame chassis manufactured from STKM11 steel and we have upgraded all pressed steel components with every part fully QC checked before it is assembled for welding.”
Reading between the lines, does this mean we are going to see a Scomadi with steel bodywork like Lambretta?
We’ll bring you more details as we get them…

Fantastic. If steel panelwork is offered I am in as Piaggio need the competition. Please please galvanize the steel though Scomadi, so they do not rust like a rusty thing, as do the modern Vespas with their hollow, multi void panelwork that just loves to trap the wet stuff. Piaggio in your face! 5 1/2 grand for a rust bucket not properly weather protected by galvanised steel or proper finishing is taking the piss.
