‘Young blood’ they cried, where’s the future of scootering? What’s going to happen when we’re all past it and there’s nobody left to organise rallies and events?

Little did we know that whilst everybody was panicking about the future of the scooter scene,  all the ‘Young blood’ were growing up, often (but not always) with parents already well established within the scene. In fact, the next generation are in abundance at some events, you can’t help but trip over the not-so-little blighters these days on a National.

The cheeky buggers even started their own nationwide club, The Young Guns, although many have outgrown that title both in age and in stature within the scene. They’re now in their 20s and are going by the name ‘Prodigy Scooter Collective’. These young upstarts are even putting on their first ‘proper’ event this coming weekend and they’re inviting us old folk along if we fancy it.

Resurrection Rally – Wrexham

Their Resurrection Rally is being held this weekend (29th June- 1st July) in Wrexham and promises a line up of “Superstar DJs” as well as live music from 50 Hertz on Friday and the excellent Superlatives on Saturday. They’ll also be having a silent disco and also boast an “Alternative Scootering Sound System” playing everything from funk to Madchester and Brit Pop (there they go, nicking our music again, little buggers), as well as a “Massive mix of rally favourites”.
