New Vega/J Range CNC Casa Performance mag flange | NEWS
It looks like 2019 may well be the year of the Lambretta smallframe models with new tuning kits, parts and accessories taking up a large part of the Casa Performance development time. The latest products for the Vega/J Range include this new CNC mag flange.
With the forthcoming release of their 135cc smallframe kit, officially named the ‘CP ONE 35’ the lads in Rimini are trying to pre-empt problems with other weaker components, like the original mag flanges for instance. The original Innocenti mag flanges were produced in two different versions with corresponding matching crankshafts. Both of these original style flanges are becoming hard to get hold of and with an expected rise in the number of engines being rebuilt to fit the new kits CP have developed their own version.
The Casa Performance mag flange is CNC machined in high-grade alloy, and improvements have been made to the original design. Their new flange runs a single double-lipped Viton oilseal on the outside and you have the option to add your choice of flywheel bearing when purchasing, depending on your crankshaft type.
The inside of the flange has three deep spiral recesses to aid lubrication of the bearing. There is also an additional hole in the transfer port area of the flange that allows fuel/oil to lubricate the oilseal.
The flange aperture is also larger where you insert the bearing to ensure it slides in perfectly centralised as it seats home. The bearing is retained with a large circlip and the single outer oilseal design means that your engine will instantly spin much more freely than the original twin-oilseal version.
No modifications are needed whatsoever to fit it, it’s a direct replacement for either of the two original flange types.

The kit includes a CNC mag flange, an outer double-lipped Vitron oilseal, a circlip and new gasket. The part code is X803 and it costs £72.40. Both types of flywheel bearing are also available separately.
