New tuning parts EICMA – Pinasco | NEWS
Pinasco have a fair few new products for both classic and modern scooters at their stand in Milan, including the T5 kit above. Here’s some of the other highlights from their 2018 catalogue.
New 225 Vespa Engine
One exciting development for large frame Vespa owners though is that Pinasco now offer a complete, assembled and ready to bolt in 225cc Pinasco engine. The 21.19bhp motor comes with 60mm racing crankshaft, Flytech ignition (weighing just 1.4kg), final gearing is 10-13-17-20/35 with a 23/64 primary drive with straight cut teeth. The engine includes pretty much everything besides the carb, carb box, brakes and clutch cover.
Carter Motore
Owners of older Vespas will be pleased to hear about the ‘Carter Motore’ a new set of casings for the older wide frame models, Farro Basso etc. The new casing has the option of a standard three, (or modern) four stud pattern which allows the fitment of original, or modern PX style cylinder kits. The casings can also accommodate a larger crank and has reed induction.
Sparkey ignition
Pinasco have also released their ‘Sparkey’ CDI, it’s been tested in the 2017 Magny-Cours race (winning the class) and uses an “Inner charge/discharge” to increase the spark.
Air Fanny
Ok, the name may cause some sniggering but the Air Fanny is a CNC machined, anodised lightweight flywheel fan, designed specifically for racers and calculated to aid air flow whilst remaining rigid, unlike plastic fans.
Lambretta Flytech
Not usually known in Lambretta circles as such, Pinasco have released a new Flytech Lambretta ignition. It costs €349 and I doubt it’ll be the last of their Lambretta products.
