Hot off the press is the news that Japanese crash helmet experts Shoei have a new development concept helmet due for launch in the early part of 2017.
Now I do like a Shoei helmet, hence why I keep an eye open for all the latest news on the premier brand. For me they’re a good fit, quiet, light and have a proven track record I’m happy to trust my noggin in.
Anyway, their latest offering is tentatively named the RYD and according to Shoei is a, “street sport full face helmet,” with, “aggressive and sharp design.”
Developed using the newest technologies, the streamlined shell is produced in AIM – organic fibre and multi-composite fibre in various layers for a shock-absorbent shell with optimum rigidity. It has an EPS liner system with different densities, fully optimised with different shock absorbing levels.
The visor system, like all Shoei full-face helmets, comes with a Pinlock anti-fog system and the helmet is secured on your head with a easy-to-use Double-D system on the strap.
