New fibreglass Vespa helmets | NEWS
Vespa has just added three new fibreglass open-face helmets to its range for 2016.
Aimed at those who use their scooters more for urban use, the new helmets feature a demi-jet (European speak for ‘open-face’) design which can often allow better all-round vision on busy streets than some full-face helmets, and are compact enough to fit in most under-seat storage compartments, top boxes and side cases.
Internal sun visor…
Unlike many traditional open-face lids, these three also feature a retractable sun visor, making it easier to ride from dawn to dusk with just the the tinted visor to flick up and down rather than remove sunglasses for example.
All three also have a glass fibre shell, secured by a micro-adjustable seatbelt-style strap and fastener, with a quick-release system.
A breathable, textile lining helps keeps the wearer comfortable and cool and is removable and washable; something we advise you do regularly, especially when city commuting.
The Carbon helmet (above) is made from fibreglass finished to give the effect of carbon-fibre. It has a synthetic leather central band and metal Vespa logos and a useful goggle-strap retainer at the rear, secured by a metal popper, all at a RRP of £179.99.
The Fibre Decal (top) comes in either black or white, with contrasting centre stripes. It has a glass fibre shell, drop-down sun visor and shares the Carbon’s goggle-strap retainer at a RRP of £149.99.
The Fibre Lux (below) comes in white, has a fibreglass shell with a broad central band in contrasting synthetic leather and metal Vespa logos. It also features a goggle-retainer and a retractable sun visor at an RRP of £159.99.
