KYMCO are set to launch two new models shortly. First up is the People GT 300i ABS, already a popular model in Europe. The large wheeled People will be arriving in UK dealers next month. It features the Taiwanese firms latest 4-stroke, 4-valve, liqui-cooled, fuel-injected engine. With a top speed of 85mph it should be a great tool for the serious commuter, or longer distance rider.
The People complies with Euro-4 regulations and features 16″ alloys, twin adjustable rear shocks and Bosch ABS. It’s a relatively lightweight machine with a good power to weight ratio, so should be quick off the mark, just what you need to beat the morning traffic. The design sets it apart from most other machines of it’s kind, whilst a focus on ergonomic comfort means it’ll be comfortable for longer journeys.
The People GT 300i ABS is marketed as a ‘compact sports-commuter scooter’ so should be a good all-rounder. It also has a decent-sized storage space beneath the seat, daytime running lights and a handy 12v charge point. The model will arrive in dealers in August, it’s priced at £3999 and comes with a 2-year unlimited manufacturer’s warranty. PCP deals and other finance offers will be available.
Younger riders might like the look of this new 2-stroke 50cc City Plus, it’s a nippy little machine powered by an ultra-efficient and reliable 2-stroke engine. The scooter is said to be capable of over 100mpg and is quicker than a four stroke off the mark. It’ll sound much better as well so won’t embarass you down the local chippy.
The City Plus has a larger than average 14″ rear wheel and longer travel suspension for improved road-holding. The 7-litre fuel tank is located up front to make refuelling easier and it also has digital instruments, a 12v socket and folding footrests. The City Plus 50 also arrives in August and is priced at £1599.
Both models will be available from all UK KYMCO recognised dealers. To find your local dealer, visit www.kymco.co.uk
