Jon Betts at JB Fabrication makes some cracking tools, engine stands and custom parts for scooters. He’ll also make you bespoke parts if you ask him nicely. Here’s one of his latest products, a factory-style Lambretta rear hub puller.
The tool is made from laser-cut mild steel so it’s quite hefty and isn’t the sort of thing you’d want to carry in your toolbox (a screw-in style puller is better for on the road repairs). It’s well made (like all of Jon’s product’s I’ve used in the past) and removing a rear hub is a doddle. Simply place it over the hub, screw the bolt into the end of the layshaft and it pops off with a loud thunk.
We’ve also reviewed the JB scooter chock a while back and the engine in the photo above is fixed using one of his bench-mounted engine stands.
