Heated riding kit is fantastic and can make you look forward to winter riding. These new Furgygan Blizzard D30 37.5® heated gloves take things to the next level. They’re controlled by an app, meaning you can pre-heat them before you even get out of bed in a morning!

Don’t worry, they can also be controlled on the gloves themselves as well but the app allows you to view the battery status, customise the pre-heat settings to your own requirements and pre-heat the gloves as well if you like (the gloves need to be connected to Bluetooth via the app and be in range to pre-heat). The Furygan Heat System app is free to download for Android and iOS devices.

Features

The goats hide leather gloves have D30 armour for extra protection. They also have an outer waterproof and breathable membrane, plus a thermal inner lining to keep the rider’s hands dry and comfortable. The 37.5® technology captures and releases moisture vapour to control hand temperature. It’s meant to create a microclimate next to your skin at the ideal 37.5% humidity – releasing heat when you need it and dispersing it when you don’t. Clever stuff…

The battery-powered gloves also have a handy visor wipe and “Furygan’s Sensitive Science” inserts allow the use of touch screen devices without the need to remove your gloves. A fully charged battery will last 2-2.5 hours (spare batteries can also be bought). You can programme your journey time into the app and it’ll set them to the highest power possible to complete your journey. If you have a modern scooter (or DC power) there’s an option to hard-wire them into the machine with a 12v connection. Running them in this way also allows you to use a ‘Superboost mode’ which is 20% more powerful than the normal boost mode.
