- Kings Mill Hospital, Mansfield
Who: Scooter riders
Â
What: Eggs to the Mill
Â
Where: Mansfield
Â
When: Sunday 20th March
Â
Why: Delivering Easter eggs to sick kids
Â
Organised by the Mansfield Roadrunners Scooter Club, Eggs to the Mill is into its 11th year. 450 scooterists from across the East Midlands attended in bright spring sunshine.Â
Â
The weather certainly helps with any two-wheeled activity and basking outside the pub, both before and after the run to Kings Mill hospital was the perfect way to get us in the mood for Easter.
Â
A special shout out must go to Dave Arnold from Hucknall Blue Boar Scooter Club. Dave crashed his GP on the way to the meeting point. With a taped up headset he made it there, hobbled around to deliver his egg then nipped across to A&E to be told he’d broken his pelvis! Get well soon Dave.
